Summary
While it is much too early in the anthrax investigation to accuse any particular group of instigating the attacks, it is possible to speculate that the mailings were domestic in origin for the following reasons:
Domestic groups had the motive and probably the ability; known victims were considered left of center politically, and the anthrax may have been produced in the U.S.
Each of these reasons by itself proves nothing, but taken as a whole they suggest that the investigation should be focused as much on the domestic front as it is on overseas connections.
