Tommy Carswell began his career in 1981 at the Lee County (AL) Sheriff's Dept as a dispatcher/ jailer, and went into the patrol division in 1984. He began service at the City of Auburn (AL) Police Dept in 1988, where he is a sergeant in the patrol division. Currently, he is in the BCJ program at Faulkner University. He graduated cum laude from Southern Union State Junior College, with an Associate in Science degree, and he has complete masters level classes.
