Below are two potentially dangerous weapons that officers need to watch for:

Hidden Blades within Coin

This week's Officer Safety item is a coin, which conceals three blades. One blade is a sharp knife, another is a double-side file and the third is a can opener. Each of these presents a potential Officer Safety issue. Law Enforcement and Security Professional should be mindful of small items like these that present an officer safety hazard.

Hidden Blade Within Watchstick

This week's Officer Safety Item is an aluminum watch stick with a 12-inch concealed stainless blade. The overall length measures 22-1/2". The blade attaches to the shaft as pictured on the smaller view on the left. An item like this could easily be concealed within a coat or carried within a vehicle. Law Enforcement and Security personnel should be mindful of dangerous items such as these when encountering suspect individuals
